Head Coach: Amin Aleem

I spoke with Coach Aleem as the OMG Team-GA prepare for the Capital Cool Classic taking place in Birmingham, AL. Coach is very excited to be participating in the prestigious event and is looking forward to competing against some of the top talent in the country. Look for this team to be a difficult opponent at Capital Cool as they can play an uptempo style as well as slow it down and battle in the half-court. They look to pressure opponents on both ends of the floor, especially on the defensive end, as they turn their defense into offense.

Key Players:

Surayyah Aleem (5’5/CG/’27)

Surrayyah can easily be considered the leader of this squad despite being a 2027 kid. She is extremely tough off the bounce and does a good job making plays in the paint and at the cup. She is a playmaker with vision, scoring ability, and passing ability, making her really tough to deal with when the ball is in her hands.

Aleiyah Easter (5’8/G|F/’26)

Due to her size, Aleiyah brings a lot of versatility to the floor. She allows her coach to play small or big without being exposed with either line-up. She has the ability to be a 3&D performer, and her impact is felt on both ends of the floor when she is in the game.

Tameya Miller (5’11/F|C/’26)

Tameya is a physical interior presence who likes to bang. She makes life difficult for opposing bigs as she is a relentless competitor on every possession. She has a very good IQ, and it is going to be interesting watching her compete, as she has been working on extending her game beyond the paint.

Players To Keep An Eye On

Paris Miller is a smaller guard but a great defender. She is a backcourt talent the coaches trust with minutes, as she doesn’t do things that will cost her team a win. Samiyah Baker is a 5’11 guard who can play the 1-4, depending on the matchup. She is lethal from behind the arc as she shoots the trey ball with very good efficiency.

What Is The Key For Your Team To Have A Successful AAU Season?

When I asked Coach Aleem this question, the response was simple: “We have to play together to be successful.”
