Head Coach: William King

I spoke with Coach King as he prepares his NOW Elite 16u for the Capital Cool Classic taking place in Birmingham, AL. He was very excited as we talked about their upcoming participation in a couple weeks in Birmingham. He brings a defensive-minded team that thrives on making other teams uncomfortable and taking them out of their game. He stands on his team’s defense, fueling their offense. Offensively, they like to play fast but under control. Coach King mentioned that some principles from the Princeton offensive schemes can be seen in his team’s play. Overall, the NOW Elite team competes hard and plays till the end regardless of the results.

Key Players:

Madison Eddings (6’3/C/’26)

Madison is a presence on the inside who can create and produce with her back to the basket. She is a good finisher around the rim as she has good positional size, which makes it hard for opponents to deal with her. Defensively, she is a good shot blocker, making her presence felt around the rim. She brings great energy to the team, which is very contagious.

Marrianna Rigsby (5’10/G/’26)

Marrianna is a backcourt talent who is very heady and has many physical tools that contribute to her brilliant floor game. She is a playmaker who makes very good decisions with the ball in her hands. She is a two-way talent who plays both sides of the floor with toughness and intensity, which greatly impacts the game.

Khloe Bradley (6’0/F/’26)

Khloe brings a scoring prowess to the floor which at times allows her to go and get a bucket whenever she wants. She is a leader on the team who has a good skillset that she brings to the floor offensively and plays with a level of toughness on defense.

Players To Keep An Eye On

Elise McClain (6’0/G) is a versatile wing with good positional size. She scores at all levels as she can post smaller guards and stretch the floor with the three. She rebounds the ball well, and she shows defensive versatility as she can guard multiple positions. Kimora Brewster (5’7/G) is a lead guard who controls the tempo. She is very disciplined, plays under control, and is a reliable floor general.

What Is The Key For Your Team To Have A Successful AAU Season?

When I asked Coach King this question, the response was simple:

Learn it, apply it, conquer it!
